Engine bay fires often result in the rear GRP engine door igniting and disintegrating or in the case of aluminium melting, leaving the fire direct access to the rear emergency exit lower saloon window.
Our research has shown that vehicles experiencing engine bay fires, break the rear and or side windows after approximately one minute, this is due to the intense heat generated, allowing the interior to act as a chimney and funnel the flames into the passenger compartment. Our quick and effective window upgrade will protect the rear and side windows from escaping heat and flame whilst achieving 40 minutes integrity and 30 minutes insulation.
